Zomato Q2 results: Loss of ₹430 crore

Loss of online food delivery company Zomato Ltd increased Loss of Rs 429 crore for the quarter ended September 229 crore in the previous year period.

The company had recorded a loss of 356 crore in the previous June quarter.

Adjusted revenue during the quarter was 1,420 crore ($189 million), a growth of 22.6% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) and 144.9% year-on-year (YoY).

India Food Delivery Gross Order Value (GOV) up 19% QoQ & 158% YoY in Q2FY22 5,410 crores.

Gross Order Value (GOV) is defined as the aggregate monetary value of all food delivery orders placed online on Zomato in India, inclusive of taxes, customer delivery charges, gross of all discounts, excluding tips.

Shares of Zomato closed down 1.20% on Wednesday ahead of the results 136 each on NSE.

Zomato has seen its shares rise 8% since the recent bumper listing on the exchanges. Shares hit all-time high 152.75 and cross market capitalization 1 lakh crore during this period.
