“Former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa introduced the idea of Statue of Prosperity in 2019 after BJP came to power in the state. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai also followed suit after taking over and ensured that this historical monument is established. I I would like to thank both of them,” said Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar while talking to the media.

Kempegowda is known for his major contribution to the development of Bengaluru. He built the city of Bangalore and thus the statue was named the Statue of Prosperity.

There was a great need for a new terminal with a capacity of 2.5 million and 100 counters as the number of international passengers arriving at Bengaluru is huge.
