Addressing a press conference, AAP’s national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh also demanded that the legal action against Saxena for awarding the contract to his daughter Shivangi Saxena allegedly in violation of the law action should be initiated.

He said that the Prime Minister should immediately sack Saxena from the post of Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and legal action should be taken against him for illegally awarding contract to his daughter.

Singh said AAP is in consultation with its senior lawyers and is preparing to go to court in the matter.

“The Delhi LG cannot escape his misdeeds. We will soon approach the court in this matter as the due process of awarding the contract was not followed,” he said, adding, “How can the KVIC chairman give the contract to his relative? Huh? “.

Singh had on Thursday asked Saxena on Twitter whether he had awarded the contract to his daughter without any tender when he was the head of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC).

Responding to the AAP MP’s allegation, the Lt Governor’s office had tweeted that Saxena, as the chairman of KVIC, had designed the Khadi lounge in Mumbai free of cost by his daughter, a designer.

Raj Niwas had clarified, “It should be noted that the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, as KVIC Chairman, got the Khadi Lounge, Mumbai designed (free of cost) by his daughter, who is a designer.” In a tweet, added, “Contrary to your (Singh’s) statement, there was no tender for the design, and no one got the tender and instead, lakhs of rupees were saved from KVIC.”

Responding to questions on Raj Niwas’s clarification, Singh said the KVIC Act explicitly barred its officers from awarding any contract or work to any member of their family.

The AAP MP said that KVIC should have followed due process for awarding the work as per norms for interior designing of Khadi lounge and if it wanted to do the work free of cost, it should have given an open invitation to join it. Best Interior Designer.

“Was the due process followed? Was there any tender floated or an open invitation for free service of interior designers for the work. Saxena’s daughter was the only best interior designer available in the country?” Singh asked.

He alleged that Saxena got his daughter to do the interior designing of the Mumbai Khadi lounge and even wrote his name on the lounge’s inaugural plaque for his professional gains.
