If you have these 5 symptoms, then weight loss is far away

Losing kilos is a tedious task. From making changes in their diet plan to starting a workout regimen, people try a variety of methods to lose weight. Many people get the motivation to go to the gym but they are not able to control their eating habits. Despite eating right and trying to include more nutritious and healthy foods in their diet, small mistakes often become a hindrance to their weight loss goals.

Here are five signs that indicate you may be underweight:

  1. food addiction
Are you addicted to food? Some people don’t know when to stop, whether they are eating healthy or eating unhealthy, they just keep going. If they find a dish tasty, they may overeat or indulge in binge eating. Even though they are full, they have a hard time understanding that they should stop. This occurs when someone consumes more calories than they burn in a day, leading to weight gain.
  2. reduce too many calories
There should be a hold on how many calories they consume. However, there are some who reduce a lot of calories, which is not right either. When caloric intake is too low, the body’s metabolism slows down, requiring a greater caloric deficit to lose weight. The body’s hunger hormone, ghrelin, gets out of control, often leading to overeating.
  3. Stressed?
There is no debate that stress affects our eating, exercise and sleeping habits, mostly in a negative way. But few people know that stress also affects cortisol levels which makes it difficult to lose weight. People who follow restrictive diets are sometimes afraid of falling off the wagon and are stressed about sticking to their diets, which affects their weight loss efforts.
  4. proper sleep
If you are not getting enough sleep, it can directly affect your weight. Around 7-8 hours of sleep is recommended, but not everyone gets it, and it can leave us feeling foggy and lethargic the next day. Subsequently, the body craves food, especially sugar, to help deal with the lack of energy. Being deprived of sleep makes it very difficult to eat mindfully and follow a diet. It is advised that one should go to sleep at the right time and remove the things which interfere with sleep.
  5. binge eating
Watching our favorite movies without snacks isn’t something we sign up for. We come up with ways to binge on our favorite foods and give them fancy names like – guilty food, sugar craving, stress eating, reward eating, and what not. We tend to ignore hunger cues and end up eating the most unhealthy food even when we drink alcohol.
