Maharashtra saw 480 Covid-19 cases, two deaths, 521 cured. Mumbai News – Times of India

MUMBAI: Maharashtra recorded 480 Covid-19 cases and two deaths on Saturday, taking the tally to 81,24,299 and the toll to 1,48,357, a health official said.
This was an increase from the 366 cases reported on Friday, in which five people had succumbed to the infection, he said.
Two deaths were recorded in Pune and Mumbai, which also account for 130 new cases, the official said.
He said the number of recoveries in the last 24 hours rose by 521 to 79,73,675, taking the active caseload of 2,267 in the state.
The state health department data showed that the recovery rate was 98.15 per cent and the death rate was 1.82 per cent.
According to official figures, 8,49,34,657 coronavirus tests have been conducted in the state so far, including 20,174 in the last 24 hours.
