“Save Me From An Arranged Marriage”: Man Uses Hoarding To Find A Wife

Muhammad Malik has advertised himself on several billboards in Birmingham

A bachelor living in Britain has started advertising himself on huge billboards in search of a wife. Muhammad Malik has set up a website called ‘Findmalikawife.com’ and has bought several advertising billboards in Birmingham to search for potential life partners. Birmingham Live, The 29-year-old entrepreneur can be seen smiling as he jokingly asks to “save” an arranged marriage in billboards across the city and Manchester.

“Save me from an arranged marriage,” read the billboard, along with a link to their website.

Mr Malik, who hails from London but considers Birmingham his second home, said he is not against the idea of ​​arranged marriages but wants to “try to find someone on his own first.”

“I haven’t found the right girl yet. It’s tough out there. I had to get a billboard to see!” He clarifies on his website.

And what does Mr. Malik look for in a perfect partner? “My ideal partner would be a 20-year-old Muslim woman striving to better her Deen,” he writes. “I am open to any caste, but I have a large Punjabi family – so you have to live with restrictions.”

Since putting up the hoardings on Saturday, Mr Malik says he has received hundreds of messages. “I haven’t had time to look yet,” he said BBC, “I have to set aside some time – I didn’t think about this part.”

Mr Malik said he tried a few other methods to find a future wife before putting his face on the hoarding. “I am a Pakistani native,” he told the BBC, “so the first thing we are told is the power of aunties” – but this did not bring any success to the London entrepreneur. He even tried dating apps and a few dating events before a friend suggested he should literally advertise himself.

“I’m creative and like to do the most random and absurd things,” he said, and so he gave it a shot. The hoardings will remain in place till January 14.
