Skoda Slavia India: Skoda India’s upcoming mid-size sedan named Slavia. – times of India

New Delhi: Skoda India on Thursday announced that its all-new mid-size sedan will be called slavia, which will come out by the end of 2021.
The Slavia will be the second model from the brand to be based on the MQB AO In platform, which also underpins the Kushaq.
The Slavia name goes back to the first bicycle jointly produced by company founders Václav Laurin and Václav Clement in 1896, with koda also stating that it complemented the sedan Octavia and Superb for the AO segment.
The Czech carmaker said: The upcoming new Slavia will define a new era in the Indian market. While Kushka drew inspiration from Indian tradition, Slavia represents the close ties between Indo-European cultures.
Skoda India also said that they have focused on the expectations of the Indian customers, which are changing dynamically, with pricing, safety, range and comfort being particularly important considerations.
Zac Hollis, Brand Director Skoda Auto India also said, “Skoda has a rich global heritage of over 125 years. The name Slavia represents the beginning of a success story that has seen Skoda become one of the most renowned car makers.”
