These states have relaxed the Kovid-19 restrictions. check list

With the daily Covid-19 cases declining in the country, several state governments have recently decided to relax the COVID-19 restrictions. Apart from this, some states have also announced guidelines for the upcoming Navratri festival. Recently, India’s COVID-19 cases have declined as the county has ramped up the vaccination process. India has given 85,54,78,279 doses COVID-19 commentary so far. Out of which 22,50,45,137 comprise the second dose.

Here’s a look at some of the states where restrictions have been eased:

Maharashtra

The state, the second worst affected by Kovid-19, has allowed cinema halls and drama theaters to operate from October 22. Apart from this, Maharashtra has also allowed the reopening of religious places from October 7 and has issued an SOP for the devotees and the officials managing the places of worship. To ensure strict implementation of protocols related to Coronavirus.

The state government had also announced that physical classes would resume in schools across the state from October 4. Classes 5 to 12 in all schools in rural areas and classes 8 to 12 in urban areas will resume from October 5.

Gujarat

Last week, the Gujarat government relaxed covid night curfew Up to an hour in eight cities. It also allowed holding of ‘Garba’ events in Navratri in housing societies and on the streets during the nine-day festival beginning October 7 with certain norms.

For example, for Navratri celebrations, the crowd limit for gathering at any one place is capped at 400 people. The state government said that those participating in Navratri events should be fully vaccinated against coronavirus.

In addition, the state government has allowed the participation of 400 people in marriages instead of the earlier limit of 150, it said. For funerals, the limit of attendees has been increased to 100 from the earlier 40.

The Gujarat government has also allowed hotels and restaurants to have 75% seating instead of the earlier limit of 60%. The government has increased the timing of public parks from 9 pm to 10 pm.

Karnataka

The Karnataka state government has allowed 100% occupancy in cinema halls and pubs in states with 1% COVID-19 positivity rate from October. Additionally, at least one dose of the vaccine is mandatory for movie watchers. However, pregnant women and children will not be allowed.

The state government has also allowed cent percent attendance for classes VI to 12, which are conducted five days a week.

Kerala

Kerala has started reopening zoos and museums as the Covid-19 cases have been declining in the last two weeks. The state government has allowed in-house dining for hotels, restaurants and bars with 50% capacity. The order states that employees should be fully vaccinated. In addition, indoor stadiums and swimming pools can be opened for those who have taken both doses of the anti-coronavirus vaccine.

Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh government has relaxed the Kovid-19 lockdown rules by allowing a maximum of 100 people to assemble outside the Containment Zone. Earlier, a maximum of 50 persons were allowed to assemble at open and closed spaces.

Rajasthan Rajasthan

The state government has decided to resume regular classes for students of classes 6 to 8 in government and private schools with 50% capacity from September 21. However, the guidelines did not allow opening of morning prayers and school canteens.

Assam

The Assam government had also relaxed the Kovid-19 restrictions in the state in September. The state has relaxed curfew timings and allowed individual classes for final year students in colleges and schools. The new timing of curfew in the state is from 9 pm to 5 am. Earlier the night curfew used to be from 7 pm to 5 am. The state government has allowed businesses and restaurants to remain open till 8 pm. Educational institutions have been allowed to conduct individual classes for final year postgraduate, undergraduate and higher secondary students who have taken at least one vaccine dose.
