Broad now holds the unfair record for most runs in an over in the history of Test cricket.
Bumrah and his blade went after Broad as the Englishman shrugged off the horrors of the inaugural 2007 T20 World Cup when the now retired India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh He was dismissed for 36 which had 6 sixes.

Bumrah was all out in the 84th over of India’s innings against Broad as the England pacer was belted in all corners of the park.
In this over, 29 runs came off Bumrah’s bat while Broad also bowled 5 wides and a no ball.
Bumrah beat the feat of the great Brian Lara (28 runs in an over) by one run, a record that stayed with him for 18 years.
Lara hit South African left-arm spinner Robin Pietersen for 28 in a Test match in 2003–04, which included four fours and two sixes in six legal balls.
Former Australia player George Bailey also scored 28 runs in an over but he was behind Lara in terms of boundary count.
Complete
The over started with a boundary which came off the top edge of Bumrah’s bat and went into the fine leg fence.
Broad then bowled a bouncer that was too short and went over the head of keeper Sam Billings.
The third ball was a no ball by the England pacer as the top edge of Bumrah’s bat hit the keeper.
Bumrah then hit fine-leg (inside edge) over mid-on and three consecutive boundaries in front of the square on the leg side.
The fifth legal ball of the over was a clean hit from the Indian captain which went over long leg. Bumrah then ended the over with a quick single and kept the strike going for the next over.
